Steven’s first formal instruction in architecture occurred at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. During that time, he primarily studied the poetics of tectonics through hand-modeling and digital-drawing techniques.
Continuing his education, Steven received a Master of Architecture at the University of Michigan. While there, he focused on architectural theory and advanced digital fabrication through coursework and extra-curricular activities. He worked as a Graduate Student Instructor for a required Architectural Theory and Criticism course and as a CNC Router/Waterjet operator. Currently on the path to licensure, Steven enjoys applying his education to the architecture practice at SPARCH. Having spent most of his life in the Midwest, Steven enjoys traveling to new places to experience other cultures and spending time with his girlfriend and their new puppy, a pensive (or maybe just lazy?)
